Bangkok Airports Now Offer Premium Buses to Pattaya and Hua Hin
Smooth travel awaits! New premium airport bus service now connects Bangkok’s airports to popular tourist destinations.

Thailand is bolstering its tourism infrastructure with a new premium bus service connecting Bangkok’s major airports, Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi, to the popular coastal destinations of Pattaya and Hua Hin. Launched by the state-run Transport Co. on March 8, 2025, the service offers travelers a convenient and affordable alternative, further enhancing Thailand’s appeal as a leading tourist destination. This initiative reflects Thailand’s commitment to streamlining transport options and catering to the diverse needs of its visitors, particularly as tourism rebounds post-pandemic.

The new routes offer a seamless transition from airport arrival to destination. Atthawit Rakchamroon, Managing Director of Transport Co., detailed the service, outlining frequency, travel times, and fares. From Don Mueang airport to Pattaya (162 kilometers), four daily round trips are available, taking approximately two and a half hours and costing 155 baht. The Suvarnabhumi airport to Pattaya route (127 kilometers) also offers four daily round trips, taking approximately two hours, at a cost of 122 baht.

For Hua Hin in Prachuap Khiri Khan province, two daily round trips depart from Don Mueang airport. This longer journey (216 kilometers) takes approximately three and a half hours and costs 200 baht. This service significantly improves accessibility to Hua Hin, previously reliant on private transfers or less frequent public transport.

The introduction of a premium bus service highlights Thailand’s focus on enhancing the tourist experience. While budget airlines and domestic flights are common, this cost-effective ground transport option offers a potentially more scenic route, eliminating the hassle of multiple transfers and providing direct, comfortable travel to these popular destinations.

Tickets are conveniently available for purchase at both Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi airport passenger terminals. This initiative aligns with Thailand’s broader strategy to strengthen its tourism sector, a key contributor to the national economy. By offering diverse transportation options, from high-speed rail to affordable bus services, Thailand positions itself as an accessible and appealing destination for international travelers. The success of this new airport bus service will be closely monitored, potentially serving as a model for expanding similar services to other tourist hotspots nationwide.
